Mrs. Julia "Judy" (Long) Small, age 91 of Benton, KY passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Alive Hospice, Nashville, TN. She was a retired educator for the Marshall County School System, receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree from Murray State University and her Master's Degree from Peabody College. She was a member of Benton First United Methodist Church.
Born Wednesday, December 30, 1926 in Benton, KY, she was the daughter of the late George E. Long Sr. and the late Trente (Treas) Long. She was the wife of the late James Leslie "Jimmie L." Small. She was also preceded in death by brother, Bob Treas Long, Sr., and sister, Rema Owen.
Surviving are daughter, Jan Small-Beth, husband Albert H. "Al" Beth of Brentwood, TN.
A Graveside Funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Benton Cemetery with Rev. David Long officiating.
Interment will follow the service.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY.
