Kathryn "Kat" Louise Edwards

Mrs. Kathryn "Kat" Edwards, age 91 of Symsonia, KY died on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Oakview Manor Healthcare Center in Calvert City, KY.  

Born Saturday, November 3, 1928 in Symsonia, KY, she was the daughter of the late Hollie Barnes and the late Lucy Barnes. She was the wife of the late William "Bill" Lafayette Edwards. She was a homemaker, a member of the Symsonia Civic Club, was a long-time member of the Western Baptist Hospital Ladies Auxillary.  She was also a member of the Symsonia PTA and was a member of the Symsonia United Methodist Church, Symsonia, KY.

She was also preceded in death by daughter, Kathi DaVanna Edwards Johnson, granddaughter, Kristi Beth Johnson, and sisters, Betty Capps and Elizabeth Jackson.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Symsonia Cemetery with Rev. Frank Queen officiating.

No public visitation will be held. 

Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY is handling arrangements.
