Mrs. Eva Louise Allen, age 92 of Benton, KY, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at her home in the Palma Community.
Born Thursday, September 11, 1924 in Golconda, IL, she was the daughter of the late Kie Bowman and the late Mable (Doyle) Bowman. She was a homemaker and was a clerk at Paducah Dry Goods. She was a member of Heartland Worship Center in Paducah, KY.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Louise "Sandy" Gentry of Benton, KY. two sons, Charles David Allen of Nashua, MT and Gary Denton Allen of Benton, KY, four grandchildren; Chad Gentry of Benton, KY, Erick Allen of Paducah, KY, Craig Gentry of Benton, KY, Amanda Gentry of Benton, KY, two great-grandchildren, Orion Walter Allen, Masa, AZ and Jackson Young of Benton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 68 years, Charles Van Allen, also by brothers, four brothers, Ned Wilber Bowman, Ray Edward Bowman, Van McDonald Bowman and Joe Carroll Bowman, one grandson, Charles Donald Allen.
Funeral service will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home. Cathy Travis will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
