Mrs. Manda "Lucille" (Cope) Barrett, age 89 of Possum Trot, KY passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the home of her daughter in Paducah, KY.
Born Tuesday, November 12, 1929 in Marshall Co., KY, she was a homemaker.
Surviving are her sons, Carl Eugene "Gene" Barrett, wife Sunetta Tucker Barrett of Calvert City, KY, Eddie "Dean" Barrett, wife Connie Manley Barrett of Benton, KY, daughter, Gloria Jane Barrett Watkins, husband Ronnie of Paducah, KY, brother, Raymond of Sturgis, KY, and sister, Julie Marie of Calvert City, KY, grandchildren, Joel Kent Barrett, wife Andrea, Kirkland Barrett, Jessica Duncan Housman, husband Kevin, Deana Barrett May, Penny Duncan Bivens, husband Tim, Beau Gentry Edison Barrett, and Amanda "Mandy" Sue Barrett; and one step-daughter, Jennifer Brewer.
Great grandchildren surviving are, Isabella Barrett, Elizabeth Barrett, Benjamin Barrett, Trey Thomas, Trevor Thomas, Tanner Thomas, Carlee May, Travis May, Quentin Warren, Cheyenne Toon, Trinity Bivens and Jeslyn Bivens. Six step great grandchildren, Jackson Cain, Annabelle Cain, Brook and Blake Housman, Branson Waldridge and Natalee Webb. One great-great grandson, Bentley May; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Uriah Bennett Cope and Nannie Emiline (Thweatt) Cope, her husband of 68 years, Carl Edison Barrett, brothers; William, Paul, Harry and Claude, sisters; Bedott, Altie and Suzie Bell, and one grandson-in-law, Christopher May.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY, with Bro. Joel Frizzell officiating. Interment will follow the service in Fooks Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY
