Marie Crowell, 94, of Symsonia, KY passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Southgate Nursing and Rehab in Metropolis, IL. She was a member of Symsonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Crowell was a retired Rural Postal Carrier.
Born Sunday, May 2, 1920 in Paducah, KY, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Thomas Copeland and the late Bessie (Humphrey) Copeland.
Surviving are daughters, Pamela Crowell Flores, husband Jose of Symsonia, KY and Penny Hess, husband Michael of Gilbertsville, KY, sister, Edna Earl Kuehle of Louisville, KY; 2 grandchildren, Robert Scott Hess, wife Jeannine of Carpentersville, IL, Brett Thomas Hess, wife Michele of LaQuinta, CA; 4 great grandchildren, Jessica and Jake Hess of Carpentersville, IL and Chloe and Anika Grace Hess of LaQuinta, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Robert Crowell.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Symsonia Cemetery with Rev. Rick Miller officiating.
No public visitation is scheduled for Mrs. Crowell.
