Norris “Ozzie” Osborne, 80, of Calvert City, KY passed away at 6:35 a.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his residence. Ozzie was retired Port Engineer from Ingram Barge Company with 23 years of service. Ingram honored Ozzie in naming a boat in his honor. He was a Merchant Mariner and received Maritime of the year award and was a Duke of Paducah. He was a member of the 10th Street Methodist Church and the Propeller Club. Ozzie served in the united States Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Ann Blankenship Osborne; daughters, Karen Elrod and husband Mickey of White House, TN, Kimberly Osborne of Madison, TN, Alisa Gaye Chapman of Venice, FL; sons, Gerald Lee Babb, Jr. of Sarasota, FL, Jeffrey Williams and wife Susan of Richmond, VA, Kerry Scott Babb of Paducah, KY; brother, Charles Osborne; grandchildren, Austin Elrod, Meghan Chapman, Korie Elrod, Kayla Elrod, Alexandria Babb, Samantha James, Hope Williams, Faith Williams; great grandchild, Nicole Ann Humphrey.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mallory Nicole Chapman. His parents were Norris and Addie Mae Bumpous Osborne.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Todd Hawkins officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Woodlawn memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
