Patricia Tomkowiak

Mrs. Patricia Tomkowiak, age 72, of New Concord, KY died at 9:45pm Wednesday at her home. She was born July 24, 1940 in Palestine, IL to the late Omer & Mona (Phillippi) Shields. She was also preceded in death by her husband; William Donovan, and two brothers; Omer Lee Shields & Tony Shields.     

Mrs. Tomkowiak was a member of Blood River Baptist Church, a graduate of Murray State University, and employed as a social worker for The Center for Accessible Living.

She is survived by three daughters; Mona Rhodes (Ed), of Waynesboro, TN, Hope Brozewski (Brian), of Freedom, WI, and Susan Forthman (Tony), of Brookport, IL, one son; Patrick Michael Donovan, of New Concord, KY, two sisters; Marciann Bolden, of Ottawa, IL, and Beverly Casey (John), of Millington, IL, three brothers; Oscar Shields (Wanda), of Palestine, IL, Steve Shields, of Sheridan, IL, and Doug Shields (Becky), of New Concord, KY, one sister in law: Joetta Shields, of Murray, KY, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Saturday at Blood River Baptist Church, with Rev. Hal Barrow officiating. Friends may visit after 2:00pm Saturday at church.
