Mr. Ricky L. Lavender, age 59 of Benton, KY., passed away Friday, February 20, 2015, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY.
Born Thursday, March 10, 1955 in Mansfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Robert "Bill" Lavender and Jessie Fern (Cyrus) Lavender of Genoa, IL. He was trade carpenter and was a member of Carpenters Local 357. Rick was a member of the Sanctuary Church of God Church.
Surviving are his wife, Colleen Ann (Waugh) Lavender of Benton, KY, one son, William R. Lavender, wife Samantha of Benton, KY, two brothers, William M. "Mike" Lavender of Benton, KY and Steven D. Lavender of Genoa, IL, sisters, Kathy G. Swinson of Genoa, IL and Tammy Bacon of Genoa, IL., two grandchildren, Samuel Hageman and Brandyn Lavender of Benton, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father and his first wife Bonnie Lou Lavender.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Rev. Albert Gaboriault will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the service hour at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
