Robert Glenn "Bob" Warren

Hardin, KY Jul. 17, 1946 | Aug. 25, 2014
Hardin, KY | Jul. 17, 1946 | Aug. 25, 2014

Bob Warren, friend of God, age 68, left this earth Monday, August 25th and is now living with Jesus, the one who was truly his life while on this earth. Bob lived his life with an unquenchable zeal and passion to know the heart of God and share it with others.

He was born in Murray, KY on July 17th 1946, but was raised and still lived in the town he loved so much, Hardin, KY. Bob attended school in Marshall County and then Vanderbilt University where he earned a degree in electrical engineering and played basketball before moving on to an eight-year professional basketball career.

As founder and president of The Hill/B.A.S.I.C. Training in Hardin, KY for over 35 years, Bob wrote Bible study curriculum, books and commentaries and taught Scripture at The Hill and across the country. The desire of his heart in teaching was not to impart knowledge of the Bible, but to lead others into a relationship-to "know the Author of the book" and be able to defend and share their faith with others.

His greatest attribute was perhaps his constant, steady love and leadership in his home where he daily loved his family beyond words. He joins his parents in heaven, Glenn and Dorothy Warren, and leaves behind his wife, Kim, of 25 years and son, Benjamin, who feel most blessed to have walked their journey with such a Godly husband and father. They eagerly await the day when they will see him again.

Bob’s life verse, which he so freely shared with others, was Romans 5:10 - For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

The impact Jesus made on others through Bob Warren’s life is phenomenal. The reach of his ministry, both physically and spiritually, was astounding. His desire was for others to look back at his life and be able to explain it in no other terms but Jesus. Mission accomplished.
