Roger Lee James

Mr. Roger Lee James, age 70, of Benton, KY died at 3:14am Sunday at his home. He was born July 25, 1942 in McVeigh, KY, and was a member of Glendale Road Church of Christ and the retired owner of West KY Burial Vault Co for over 20 yrs.

He was preceded in death by his son; Roger Dwayne James, Jr., on Jan. 26, 2012, his father; Wilson James and two brothers; Franklin D. James and Ronnie Dale James.    

He is survived by his wife; Ruth Ann (Scott) James to whom he was married June 16, 1961, one son; Brian James (Kimberly), of Hardin, KY, mother; Emma (Thacker) James, of Murray, KY, sister; Wilma Woods (Charles), of Murray, KY, brother; Estil James, of Hazel, KY, grandchildren; Michael Ray James (Alesha), Alyssa Lynn James and Ella Katherine James, mother in law; Marie Scott, of Murray, KY, brothers in law; Dennis Scott, of Benton, KY, and Woody Scott, of Ohio, sisters in law; Priscilla Vobrocek, of Ohio, Arlene Lott (Frank), of Tulsa, OK, Rita Gail Liebce, of Owensbor, KY and Carol James, of Mayfield, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday at The Murray City Cemetery with John Dale officiating. Friends may visit from noon until 2:00pm Wednesday at BLALOCK-COLEMAN & YORK FUNERAL HOME
