Mrs. Sharon Mary Thorn, age 78 of Aurora, KY passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. Born Thursday, November 12, 1936 in Packwaukee, WI, she was the daughter of the late Walter Schwochert and the late Rosalie (Plant) Schwochert. She was a retired Nurses Aide from Fern Terrace Lodge in Murray, KY.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry Thorn of Aurora, KY, three daughters, Sondra Johnson of Paducah, KY, Sanya Smith of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Sherie (Andrew) Baxter of Crestview, FL, two brothers, Joseph Schwochert of Baraboo, WI and Bernard Schwochert of Endeavor, WI; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Stan Johnson, one brother, Jerome Schwochert and three sisters, Shirley Willard, Diane Byrum and Kathy Thompson.
Graveside services will held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Memorial Gardens located at 641 North Murray, KY. Father Greg Trawick officiating. Inurnment will follow the service.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2015, at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
No public visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015, friends may call at the graveside, Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Memorial Gardens, Murray, KY.
