Shirley Jean O’Dell, 75, of Morley, Missouri passed away Saturday, February, 1, 2014 at Missouri Delta Hospital in Sikeston following an extended illness.
Born August 20, 1938 in Hazel, Kentucky to the late Arcie and Eulalia Paschall Morton, Shirley was a member of Hoos Baptist in Oran, Missouri. Shirley married James “Bubby” O’Dell December 26, 1979 in Kentucky.
She is survived by her husband James O’Dell; six daughters, Donna Wilson, husband Joe Don of Mayfield, Linda Matheney, husband Gene, Karen Holder, husband Charlie, Christy O’Dell of the East Prairie, Missouri, Elaine Pace, husband Jim Lookout Mountain Georgia, Sarah Garner, husband Brad Sikeston Missouri; five sons, Kenny Overcast, wife Michelle, Keith Overcast both of Murray, Stan Overcast of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Donnie O’Dell, wife Sissy, of Sikeston and Michael O’Dell of East Praire, Missouri. Shirley is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two sisters, Diane West, husband Bob of Michigan, Carolyn Windsor of Farmington, Kentucky;several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM, on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Imes-Miller Funeral Home. Bro Presley Lamb will officiate. Interment will follow at the South Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Friends wishing to pay their respects may come to the funeral home from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, February 5.
