Mr. Thomas “Boppy” H. Vernier, age 88, of Benton, Kentucky, died at his home on Monday, October 22, 2018.
Mr. Vernier was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 6, 1930 to the late Glen A. Vernier and Velma Eloise (Jackson) Vernier. Mr. Vernier worked as a real-estate developer before his retirement. He was of the Presbyterian faith, an Airforce veteran of the Korean War, and had a great love for the game of golf.
Mr. Vernier is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn “Honey” Vernier of Benton, Kentucky; two daughters, Ellen Solomon of Calvert City, Kentucky and Connie Rockne of Benton, Kentucky; one son, Gary Vernier of Toledo, Ohio; one sister, Nancy Hayles of Florence, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Tommy Sedlock, Angela Johnson, John Rockne, Gary Rockne, Jackie Curts, Kyle Vernier and Jenny Vernier; 12 great-grandchildren, Blaine Trexler, Blake Johnson, Sydney Sedlock, Kole Sedlock, Abella Curts, Adaline Curts, Aliza Curts, Parker Rockne, Conlan Rockne, Nolan Rockne, Maisie Rockne and Gwenyth Rockne; as well as two great-great grandchildren, Elliot Trexler and Emersyn Trexler.
