Puryear
Mr. Tommy Dan Story, 79, of Puryear, TN., died Monday, September 26, 2016 at Baptist Health in Paducah. Mr. Story was born on September 30, 1936 to the late Tolbert Story and Pauline Paschall Story in Henry County, TN. He was the owner of Story Farm's located in the Crossland community and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his first wife, Janie Adams Charlton and his second wife, Linda Emerson. Those he lovingly left behind include three sons, Greg Story (Karen), Gary Story (Tammy) and Shane Story (Regina Burnett) all of Puryear; one daughter, Vanessa Eckels (Daniel) of Murray; two sisters, Carolyn Outland (Danny) of Murfreesboro, TN and Peggy Goddard (Dick) of Jackson, TN; six grandchildren, Adam Eckels, Danielle Craig (Bryan) , Autumn Barker (Jarod), Taylor Holtgrewe (Ty), Isaiah Story (Carey) and Charlton Story and two great grandchildren, Genesis Story and Bryce Barker. The funeral service is set for 11 AM on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Puryear with Wayne Carter and Jordan Roach officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4-8 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home located at 1804 SR 121 N. Bypass in Murray and on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 9 AM until the funeral hour at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
