Velma Wilson, age 90, of Calvert City, KY, passed away at 8:37 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her residence. Velma was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Velma, along with her husband, Dub Wilson were retired owners of Wilson Campers in Paducah, KY. She served as District Manager of Stanley Home Products for many years. Velma and Dub spent many winters in Florida, where they met many friends and enjoyed family visits.
Surviving is her husband of 70 years, W.H. “Dub” Wilson; three daughters, Sandra (John) Rudolph of Eddyville, KY, Debbie (Stewart) Scott of Benton, KY, Cyndi (Tommy) Morreau of Paducah, KY; one sister, Faye Eddlemon of Plymouth, MI; eight grandchildren, K.C. Alleruzzo, Teresa Palmer, Trey Rudolph, Neal Scott, Kevin Scott, Chad Morreau, Ryan Morreau, Whitney Morreau; fifteen great-grandchildren, Audrey, Grace, and Hunter Alleruzzo; Brody, Kelsey and Addison Palmer; J.T. and Sadie Rudolph; Macy and Tripp Scott, Kendall McLean; Annie, Owen, Emery and Wilson Morreau and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were parents, Homer Lax & Gladys Stockdale Lax; seven brothers, Lee, Robert, Dape, Wilton, Richard, Frank, and Glen Lax; one sister, Vonel Lax.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with Revs. Mike Williams and Chad Morreau officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
