Amanda Jones Robertson, 93, of Paducah, KY, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at her home.

Amanda was born in Paducah on April 24, 1924 to Ed and Grace Jones. She grew up on their dairy farm in McCracken County. She often reminisced about summers spent picking strawberries with her siblings, Cora, Athlyn, Eva, and Jimmy. In 1945 she married Clarence Frederick Robertson. Together, they raised two children, Fred and Barbara.  Amanda's ability to put people at ease and make them feel welcome helped her make friendships that lasted a lifetime.  She met with members of her high school class for lunch for many, many years.  She put her social graces to work for good causes as a Paducah Ambassador and as a Lioness with the Lone Oak Lions Club. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church and retired from the Purchasing Department of Sears & Roebuck Co.

Later in life, she took up ballroom dancing, cutting a figure in local and regional competitions. Amanda was quick to laugh and always had a snappy reply. She was also very kind, going to great lengths to make the people around her feel loved. Her family will miss her warmth, spirit, and her beautiful smile.

Ms. Robertson is survived by her daughter, Barbara Robertson Mobley and husband Jim, of Paducah; her son, Fred Robertson and wife Kay, of Benton, KY; her sister, Eva jones Newton of Fulton, TN; her granddaughter, Megan Robertson Crabtree and husband Mike, of Kansas City, MO; her step-grandchildren Kelly Harris and her husband Ray of Kevil and Patrick Mobley and his wife Erin of Paducah; and her step great-grandchildren Andrew and Rachel Harris and Reagan and Ella Mobley.

Ms. Robertson was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Clarence Fredrick Robertson; her sisters, Cora Mae Sanders and Athyln Alexander; her brother, James T. Jones.

A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Maplelawn Park Cemetery, with Pastor Paul Donner officiating.
