Bivin, Bert
Minnie Bertral ("Bert") Key Bivin died at home on 6/14/12 at 7:50pm. She was born on 1/28/25 in Paris, Tennessee,
to parents Luther Bert Key and Johnnie Mae Smith Key. Her mother returned her home to Paducah soon after being born.
Paducah would be home for almost all her life, only residing in Jackson, Michigan, and Indianapolis, Indiana, for short periods.
She was a member of East Baptist Church. She worked as a secretary for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad in Paducah for thirty plus years.
She loved her country and its rich freedom. She visited and admired the beauty of all fifty states during her lifetime.
As a patriotic lady, she volunteered to work the polls each election day for many years. She also enjoyed her extensive travels overseas
during her retirement years. She also gladly served over 6000 volunteer hours as a Western Baptist Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sisters, Mildred Dawe of Homewood, IL and Tossie Warford of Paducah, KY; one sister-in-law, Wilma Bivin of Paducah;
one daughter in law, Germaine Bivin of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Lisa (Bivin) Wells and husband Mike Wells of Louisville, KY,
Brian Bivin and wife Gina Bivin of Louisville, KY, Joy (Bivin) Lacy of Louisville, KY and Ryan Alan Bivin and wife Jocelyn Feliciano of Nashville, TN;
seven great-grandchildren, Justin Wells, Meagan Wells, Kaitlyn Wells, Jasmine Bivin, Bryce Bivin, Kirsten Lacy and Nathaniel Lacy, all of Louisville, KY
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Junior Bivin; two sons, Bob Bivin and Randall ("Randy") Bivin.
Funeral services will be at 3:00pm Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Rev. Curtis Harrell will officiate.
