Billie Wayne Teeters, 78, of Troy, TN formerly of Bardwell, died Sunday, June 17 at 1:07 pm at Jackson Madison County General Hospital of Jackson, TN. He attended First Assembly of God Church in Arlington, KY; was a bus driver for the Obion County School system; worked for Commonwealth Insurance; and was a retired E7 First Class, Purple Heart recipient in the United States Army, serving three terms in Viet Nam.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Herron) Teeters of Troy, TN; his daughters, Jo Anna Halliburton of Union City, TN and Vicky Jones of Kenton TN; his son, Larry Teeters of Troy. TN; seven grandchildren, Timothy Halliburton, Tiffany Halliburton, Angela Wilson, Torey Chumley, Angela Rhodes, Daniel Ray Watts, and Damon Jennings; a brother, Tommy Teeters of Gilbertsville, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Moesby and Rosie Teeters, two sons, Billy Wayne Teeters and Howard Moesby Teeters and one sister.

Services will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell Wednesday, June 20, at 1:00 pm with Rev Gleen Rushing officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at Roselawn Cemetery.
