Bobby Joe Vied, 74, of Kevil, KY, passed away at 2:15 pm on Friday, July 22, 2016 at his residence.
He was a retired pulp dryer operator at Westvaco and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a Youth Leader at Spring Bayou Baptist Church, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and Lovelaceville Baptist Church. He led adult men ministries at several churches and most recently at Melber Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen Dolan Vied; two daughters, Anna Duggins Rodgers and husband Billy of Paducah, KY, Cynthia M. Vied and husband Steve Marks of Tallahassee, FL; one son, Joe B. Vied and wife Karla of Paducah, KY; one sister, Claudette Rittenhouse of Toledo, OH; three brothers, Ronald D’Arcangelo, Donald D’Arcangelo, and Tony D’Arcangelo all of Toledo, OH; 10 grandchildren, Kayla Rodgers Hays, Kristen Rodgers, Bryce Rodgers, Erin Andrews, Anna Yuan, Jacob Vied, Addison Haley, Noah Vied, Eli Vied, Connor Vied; and four great grandchildren, Kynlee Hays, Carson Hays, Piper Hays, and Avery Andrews.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Barbara Joyce Vied; parents, Joe B. Vied and Barbara Johnson D’Arcangelo; and grandmother, Mary Johnson.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Billy Rodgers officiating. A private burial will be held at Mt. Kenton cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 2:00 pm on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
