Bobby Joe Thacker, age 55, of Paducah, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, 1:00 PM, at Baptist Health Paducah.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. He was a graduate of Caldwell County High School. He was formerly employed with the City of Paducah and was presently employed in construction through Laborers, Local 1214.
He is survived by three sons, Chayton (Mariah) Holland-Thacker, Chandler Holland-Thacker and Elen Thacker, all of Paducah; a devoted companion, Jessica Jackson of Paducah; three- step daughters, Loreal Holland, Sydney Holland, Brydney Holland, and a step-son, Dantevious Hill, all of Paducah; three- grandsons and one granddaughter; three brothers, Ronald Thacker of Newark, NJ, Chris Thacker of Hopkinsville, and Tony Thacker of Indianapolis, IN; three sisters, Carolyn Thacker of Clarksville, TN, Regina Wadlington of Princeton, and Diane Southward of Paducah; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Odell Thacker, Sr. and Nellie B. Sims Thacker, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017, 11:00 AM, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Anthony Daniels officiating.
Friends may also call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.
