Mr. Curtis Wells, age 62 of Calvert City, KY died on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was a retired forklift operator for General Tire, was a board member of the Gilbertsville Fire Department, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Born Wednesday, August 8, 1956 in Benton, KY, he was the son of the late Cecil Wells and the late Wanda (Stokes) Heffington.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Debbie (Phillips) Wells of Calvert City, KY, son, Curtis Wells, wife Emily of Harrisburg, IL, daughter, Jessica Kline, husband Kaleb of Calvert City, KY, brothers, Gary Wells of Paducah, KY and David Wells of Calvert City, KY, sisters, Sherry Joiner of Calvert City, KY, Rita Wells of Paducah, KY, Sheryl Henson of Benton, KY, Amy Cherry of Metropolis, IL, Sharon Heffington of Paducah, KY ; and 3 grandchildren, Addalyn, Miley, and Lydia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Chris Heffington.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Harold Hatfield and Rev. Jimmy Eaves officiating.
Interment will follow in Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
