Darrell E. Farris, 80, of Ledbetter, KY passed away at 7:00 a.m. Friday at his residence. He was a retired welder for the Penwalt Corporation. Darrell was a member of the Ohio Valley Baptist Church. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Darrell is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Thurston and husband Darren of Paducah, KY; son, David Farris and wife Darla of Ledbetter, KY; brothers, Edmund Farris and Bill Farris both of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Guthrie, Clay Guthrie, Daniel Farris, and Brandi Farris; great grandson, Zachary Collins and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Stokes Farris, one sister and one brother, His parents were Jewell and Janie Odum Farris.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. F. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow in the Oakgrove Cemetery in Ledbetter, KY.
