Mr. Dirl B. "Bugs" Tyree, 80 of Benton, KY passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, at his home.
Born Wednesday, June 12, 1940 in Marshall Co., KY, he was the son of the late Van B. Tyree and the late Verda (Starks) Tyree. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Emma Lucille (Hendrickson) Tyree. Mr. Tyree was a retired truck driver, retiring from the Teamsters Union and also from the Marshall County Road Department. He was a member of Oak Valley Church Of Christ.
Surviving are his four step-children; Jimmie Thompson, Mike Thompson, Dennis Thompson, and Tina Ryan all of Benton, KY; his two sisters, Brenda Morris of Benton, KY and Lanora "Snookie" Thompson of Benton, KY. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, his nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Chris Buford will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Benton Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2020 until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
