Emma Bryan Orr Newton, 75, of Murray died March 17, 2013 at her home.
Mrs. Newton was born May 31, 1937 in Murray and graduated Hardin High School in 1955. She was a member of Ferguson Springs Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Milburn Clay Orr and Eufaula Arnett Orr; a daughter, Kim Newton; two brothers, David Arnett Orr and Clay Edwin Orr and a step son, R.T. Newton.
Mrs. Newton is survived by her husband, Ben Thomas “Tommy” Newton of Murray; a daughter, Nell Gartman, husband George of Kyle, TX; a son, Robert C. Newton of Dallas, TX; a step-daughter, Glee Mikus of Wisconsin; a step son, John Newton of Florida; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; three great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Ferguson Springs Baptist Church in Hardin. Bro. James Keeling and Bro. Howard Conner will officiate. Interment will follow at the Ferguson Springs Cemetery. Imes-Miller Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at Ferguson Springs Baptist Church after 2:00 PM until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
