Mr. Hilbert George Woodbrey, Jr. age 71 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. He was a retired correctional officer for the KY State Penitentiary and was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton.
Born Saturday, January 24, 1948 in Westbrook, Maine, he was the son of the late Hilbert George Woodbrey Sr. and the late Peggy (Miller) Woodbrey.
Surviving are sons, Hilbert George Woodbrey, III of Mayfield, KY and Ryan Adam Woodbrey of Benton, KY, daughters, Starla Woodbrey of Benton, KY and Peggy Duncan of Olive, KY, step-son, Jimmy Ferguson of Benton, KY, step-daughter, Jeanetta Joseph of Fairdealing, KY, sisters, Sherry Woodbrey of Benton, KY, Sandra Adams of Key Largo, FL; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Teresa Ann (Aleshire) Woodbrey.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Don Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairdealing Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2019 at Collier Funeral Home.
