Gladys Humphrey, age 79, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at her residence. Gladys was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and a member of the Faith Sunday School Class. She was a native of Georgia and retired from Usher Transport Company.
Gladys was a member of the Paducah Woman’s Club and a member of Paducah Area Painters Alliance Association. She enjoyed painting and had entered her work in several of the local art shows. Gladys enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren.
Surviving is one daughter, Debbie Lawrence and husband, Phil of Wickliffe, KY; two sons, Charles G. Humphrey and wife, Penny of Memphis, TN and Billy Wayne Humphrey of Paducah, KY; one sister, Yvonne Brack of Eastman, GA; nine grandchildren, J.R. Humphrey, Erica Humphrey, Shelby Humphrey, Kayla Humphrey, Andrea Humphrey, Nathan Lawrence, Cameron Lawrence, Natalie Lawrence and Evan Lawrence; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was her husband, Charlie Clifford Humphrey; parents, Samuel A. Clark & Mary Elizabeth Evans Clark; two sisters, Clara Cross, Beulah Kirby; seven brothers, Alton, Ernest, Charlie, Lawton, Clifford, Raymond and John H. Clark.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Revs. Jeff Wallace and Scott Fickes officating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
