Glenda Elaine Banks, age 71, of Reidland, Kentucky, passed away at 9:45 PM Monday, May 14, 2018 at her residence.
She was retired from banking after 25 years at Paducah Bank and was a member of Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church. Glenda was born in Brownfield, IL and graduated from Elgin High School and attended Paducah Community College. She was an artist who enjoyed painting, jewelry making and working with all types of crafts. She especially enjoyed traveling the world over.
Glenda Elaine Banks is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carroll Deneen Banks of Reidland, one daughter, Denise Elaine Bowden and partner Shelly Souder of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and one son Kevin Lee Banks and wife Elizabeth of Hendersonville, Tenneessee. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan and Taylor Bowden and Abigail and Amelia Banks and a great- grandson Tryden Bowden. She is survived by two sisters, Peggy Sollberger of Granite City, Illinois and Zola Burgess of Paducah, Kentucky and three brothers, Hadley Watson of Boaz, Kentucky, Harold Watson of Glen Carbon, Illinois and James Watson of Cave Creek, Arizona.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Glenn Watson and Sarah Ann Ramage Watson and one sister, Frankie Watson.
Visitation for Glenda Banks will be on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, May 18, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Tommy Gray officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Lavender Cemetery in Herod, IL.
