Gracie Mae Atherton King, 88, of Arlington, died at Countryside Health Care August 21 at 4:30 am. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters; Janie High of Bardwell and Helen Maynard of Arlington, a sister, Irene Wooley of Bardwell , a brother, Norman Atherton of Ballard County, six grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren, and 1 greatgreatgrandchild.

She was preceded by her husband; Rev Cecil King; a daughter, Ruth Carrington; her parents, Willie and Dora Hobbs Atherton; four sisters and two brothers.

Services for Ms King will be at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Alington at 11:00am Friday, August 24 with Rev Terry Penix officiating and burial following at Arlington Cemetery. Friends may call after 6:00 pm Thursday, August 23 at the funeral home.
