Imogene Houser, 80 of Boaz, KY died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah. Imogene was a member of St. John Catholic Church and former employee of the McCracken County Clerk’s office and was a homemaker. She was a native of Detroit, MI.
Imogene loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loved to cook and spent a lot of time working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Jett and husband, Roger of Boaz, KY, Karen Futrell and husband, Mike of Paducah, KY; two sons, Tom Houser and wife, Glenda of Paducah, KY, Tony Houser and Angie Houser of Paducah, KY; mother, Reva Hobbs Verschueren, Paducah, KY; one brother, Gerald Hobbs and wife, Joyce of Detroit, MI; eight grand-children, Matthew (Amberly) Houser, Michelle (Tim) Bundren, Jeremy (Lindsey) Jett, Justin (Kayla) Jett, Chad (Jennye) Futrell, Chance (Kirstin) Futrell, Noah Houser and Nevan Houser; twelve great-grandchildren, Sarah Kate Houser, Wilton Houser, Hadley Houser, Griff Bundren, Gentry Bundren, Greer Bundren, Trey Jett, Callie Jett, Azlee Jett, Payton Jett, Jack Futrell and Nolan Futrell; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was her husband, Edwin Thomas “Bud” Houser, father Aubrey Francis Hobbs.
Services will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Bruce Fogle officiating, Burial will follow at Houser Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. The Houser family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
