J.T. King, 89 of Bardwell, passed away at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at his home.
Mr. King was a member of Bardwell Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. He was a retired partner of Lowell King Insurance Company and a United States Army Veteran of WWII.
Mr. King is survived by his children Theressa King of Rockville, MD, and Leland T. King and wife Pat of Crossville, TN; one sister, Barbara Wilkinson of Bardwell; two brothers, Virgil King of Bardwell and Lowell King of Bardwell; three grandchildren, Curtis King and wife Tonya of Symsonia, KY, Rebecca West and husband Aaron of Spring Hill, TN, and Jennifer Wilson and Husband Landon of Benton, KY; and two great grandchildren, Ariana West and Chloe West.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jane Jennings King; and one brother, Billie P. King. His parents were Willie R. and Irene Forrester King.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Rev. J. Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the funeral home.
