James Herschel Dunn “Jimmy”, 82, of Arlington, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, February 25, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Dunn was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church. He retired as a maintenance mechanic from Westvaco in 1995 after twenty five years of employment. He was a member of the United Paperworkers International Union Local 680 in Wickliffe.
He is survived by three daughters, Carol Rohrer and husband Gary of Arlington, Cindy Campbell and husband Trip of Bartlett, TN, and Janet Jones and husband Alan of Ardmore, OK; two sons, Jimmy Mike Dunn of Arlington and Joe Dunn and wife Emily of Arlington; one sister Pat Brogdon of Caruthersville, MO; one brother Dick Swiggart of Germantown, TN; six grandsons, Michael Rohrer, Greg Jones and fiancé Stephanie O’Steen, Whit Campbell, Josh Dunn, Tim Dunn and wife Fallon, and Trevor Gourley; four granddaughters, April Jewell and husband Seth, Casey Hawkins and husband Matt, Leah Anne Fischer and husband Marshall, and Rachel Dunn; four great grandchildren, Blacee Norton, Abbi Jewell, Dylan Jewell, and Brooklyn Dunn. Jimmy is also survived by his special friend Patty Lay.
Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn June Burgess Dunn; his parents, Herschel Martin Dunn and Mildred Owen Dunn Swiggart and stepfather James C. Swiggart; and two brothers Tom Dunn and Billy Dunn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Rev David Fullen officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
