Audrey Jean McMillin, 85, of Paducah, died Thursday, February 08, 2018 at Lourdes Hospital.
Jean was born in Model, TN and grew up in Stewart County, TN in the area known as “between the rivers”. She loved her job as secretary at both MSU and later at Paducah Community College. Jean finished her secretarial career in 1992 retiring from the University of Louisville Kentucky Cancer Program. “Mrs. Jean”, as she was known by her friends, lived a fun and adventurous life. She was a three time cancer survivor who loved traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Jean was a member of Cowboy Church in Draffenville, Ladies Auxiliary of VFW, Women of the Moose, Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion, and a former member of Professional Secretary International and Business and Professional Women.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Cindy Hurt (Tony) Kinsey of Murray, KY; grandchildren, Shawn (Laurel) Kinsey, Max (Halye) Kinsey, and Emily Kinsey; the father of her child, E. Larry (Joyce) Hurt of Murray, KY; brother, Johnny (Charlotte) McDougal of Murray, KY; nieces and nephew, Mitzi (John) Burress of Murray, KY, John Mark (Chris) McDougal of Brentwood, TN, and Debbie (Don) Presley of Snellville, GA; several cousins; and special friend and caregiver, Beverly Hardeman of Paducah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel McMillin; a brother, Bruce Edward McDougal; a nephew, Ed McDougal; and her parents, Eddie Euin McDougal and Thelma Dill McDougal.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Clark officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4pm Sunday at Murray City Cemetery.
Visitation for Jean will begin at 11am Sunday at the funeral home.
