Julia Burnett, 93, of Kuttawa, formerly of Paducah, passed away at 7:55 pm on Tuesday, May, 19, 2015 at Baptist Health in Paducah.
She was a retired Management Auditor for Best Western Motels. A member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over 50 years, she was a Sunday school teacher and President of the Women’s Missionary Union.
She was a volunteer for Western Baptist Auxiliary and Paducah Ambassadors.
Mrs. Burnett is survived by her daughter, Cindy Tippet of Eddyville; son, Tommy Martin and wife Sandy of Knoxville, TN; eight grandchildren, Harrell Riley, Joe Riley, Martin Pope, Aaron Pope, Kelley Pope, Jesse Martin, Joe Martin, Tim Martin; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harrell B. Martin, second husband William Eugene (Gene) Burnett; her daughter, Dr. Nancy Copin; her parents, Luther Herman Thompson and Julia White Thompson; two sisters, Ann Scott and Dorothy Hoffman; and son in law, Richard Tippet.
A memorial service for Julia will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, May, 21, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Jamie Broome officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm on Thursday, May, 21, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
