Larry W. Roberts, 62, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Lourdes.
Mr. Roberts was 1973 graduate of Reidland High School and a 1979 graduate of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he earned a degree in Bible Studies. He was a 27 year employee of USEC with his last years of employment with LATA in Waste Management. Mr. Roberts was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah, Fellowship of Christian Magicians and International Brotherhood of Magicians. Larry loved to preach and used his magic to spread the word of Christ. He was known as the King’s Illusionist.
Larry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Theresa Diane Richards Roberts; a daughter, Melody Roberts Morris and husband Tyson of Ledbetter; a son, Nicholas Astaire Roberts and his fiancé Brooke Smith of Paducah; one granddaughter Harper Grace Morris ; two brothers, Michael Roberts and wife, Cindy of West Paducah and John A. Roberts and wife, Laura of Benton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Hardin Roberts and Daisy Laverne Ward Roberts.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Dr. Charles Moore officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the funeral home.
