Lois Schroeder Posey, 78, of Lone Oak, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
Lois was born in Mt. Vernon, Indiana on May 26, 1940 to Martin and Evelyn Schroeder. She met her husband Bob in Henderson, Kentucky the day he got home from the army and were married two months later. They celebrated 61 years of marriage on the ninth of this month. She was a member of Lone Oak United Methodist Church, and a wonderful cook who enjoyed sharing the results of her talent with others. She had so many talents, interests and loves, too numerous to mention. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Posey is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” B. Posey; her son, Robert James Posey, of Lone Oak, Kentucky; her daughter, Renee Witherspoon (David), of Madisonville, Kentucky; her son, Scott Posey (Ashley), of Lone Oak, Kentucky; her sisters, Patricia Hall (Bob), of Lexington, Kentucky, Deanie Reed (Tom), of Lehigh Acres, Florida; her grandchildren, Ashley Peeples (Steven), Leah Asaro, Jenna Asaro, B.J. Posey, Mason Posey, Brooke Posey, Gavin Posey; three great grandchildren; one uncle and aunt; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Posey was preceded in death by her parents, Martin James Schroeder and Evelyn Marie Watson Schroeder.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 noon Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Chambers and Sister Lola Alokan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. Saturday at the Lone Oak Chapel.
