Loren Dale ”L.D.” Sutton, 73, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 7:39 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Lourdes.
Mr. Sutton was retired after 46 years as a machinist with ICG / NREC, and he attended Central Church of Christ.
Dale is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Jean Wallace Sutton; a son, Loren Dale Sutton and wife Angie of Paducah, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Ryan Allen Johnson and wife Amy of Louisiana, Lakin Renee Green, Loren Brooke Sutton and Bailey Nicole Sutton all of Paducah; a great granddaughter, Kaylin Brooke Johnson; three sisters, Sharon Wheatley and husband Tommy of Tennessee, Patricia Hertter and husband G.H. and Katie Wedeking and husband J. Paul all of Metropolis, Illinois; a brother, Ronnie G. Sutton and wife Debbie of Bismark, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Renee Sutton Green; three sisters, Lovella May Sutton, Shirley Stokes and Alberta Griffey. His parents were Homer G. and Opal Lorriane Helmentoler Sutton.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Jim Faughn officiating. Burial will follow at Pottsville Cemetery in Graves Co.
Visitation will begin after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
