Lucille Ivey Alvey, 98, of Paducah, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Western Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Alvey was a member of High Point Pentecostal Church and a retired seamstress with Normandy Frock Dress Company.

Mrs. Alvey is survived by her son, Wilburn Leon Alvey and wife Ethel of Paducah; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joe ‘Bill’ Alvey; three daughters, Katherine Davenport, Jean Turner and Mary Helen Berry and thirteen brothers and sisters. Her parents were, William Washington Ivey and Mary Elizabeth Rudd Ivey.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Doug Stevens and Rev. BJ Myrick officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The Alvey family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
