Marjorie Mercer, 88, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Mercer was a housewife and a waitress, and a member of New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Mercer is survived by a daughter, Janice Williams of Island, Kentucky; two sons, Walter Gordan and wife, Leslie of Lone Oak and Dwayne Gordan and wife, Sherry of Hardin; two stepdaughters, Tina Algood and husband, Rick of West Paducah and Marilee Wilks and husband, Steve of Paducah; two stepsons, Larry Mercer and wife, Cheryl of Blaine, Minnesota and Terry Mercer and wife, JoEllen of Cheyenne, Wyoming; several grandchildren and step grandchildren; several great- grandchildren and step great- grandchildren; a sister, Myrtie Allen of Springhill, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Harvey Gordan; her second husband, John K. Mercer; one sister and one brother. Her parents were, Marion and Eva Bearden Mitchell.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence, Missouri.
