Mrs. Mary (Gillihan) Larimer, age 93 of Calvert City, KY., passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014, at 2:10 a.m. at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY.
Born Monday, February 7, 1921 in Trigg Co., KY., she was the daughter of the late Jesse James Gillihan and the late Cora Alvena (Ahart) Gillihan.
She was a mother, homemaker and preachers wife, and was a member of The Original Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Don Larimer, wife Freda of Calvert City, KY, her daughter, Dianne Stice, husband Tom of Calvert City, KY, one sister, Jean Johnson of Hickman, KY., eight grandchildren, Anna-Rebecca Larimer of Calvert City, KY., Rechelle Turner of Murray, KY., Todd Larimer of Calvert City, KY., Brett Larimer of Paducah, KY., Brandon Larimer of Calvert City, KY., David English of Benton, KY., Mark English of Almo, KY., Tonya Parrott of Paducah, KY., thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 73 years, Elder Arlie Levi Larimer, her son, Dolph Larimer, one granddaughter, Amanda Stice, one great-grandchild, Gabriel Turner, four brothers, Coy Gillihan, James Gillihan, Jr., Curtis Owen Gillihan and Jesse Clayton Gillihan and one sister, Eura Goodaker.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Elder Gary Wallace will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Fooks Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 1, 2014, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
