Nancy Cheryl Mitchell, 70, of Benton, KY, died Friday, May 11, 2018 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Nancy was born in Sturgis, KY on November 3, 1947 to F.M. and Ruth Miller Melloy. She dispatched barges for several river industry companies, particularly Tolen Marine, Molley Marine Service and Kinzler Marine. She also worked at McCracken County Library and Childwatch before retiring to enjoy more time with her family.
Surviving are her husband of twenty eight years, John Mitchell; son, John Fuller of Paducah; daughter, Julie Fuller of Paducah; three grandchildren, Kendrick Fuller, Mimi Leidecker and Abby Leidecker; brother, Steven Melloy of Mayfield; sister, Kathy Reynolds of Mayfield; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marilyn Phegley; nephew Lee McDill; and niece, Jeanette Myers.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30pm Monday at Mt. Kenton Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Waldrop officiating. There will be no public visitation.
