Prudence McKinney, 75, of Iuka, Ky. died at 1:18 p.m. Jan. 21, 2015 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky. She was born February 13, 1939 to Hugh and Carleen Sexton McKinney.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy Burns Williams of Mesa, Ariz. and Beverly Burns Lynch of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a grandson, Carl Short of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Susanne McKinney Yates of Iuka; and a son-in-law, John Williams of Mesa.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Nevada Lynch; a sister, Jenelen Pruitte; and her parents.
She attended Murray State University Training School and Murray State University. She was a practical, creative and dynamic personality with many talents and skills. She loved being with her family and friends, sewing, crossword puzzles, nature, traveling and meeting new people.
A potluck gathering celebrating her life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Smithland First Baptist Church Community Center. Please bring a dish to share.
