Mr. Roy D. Kidd, Sr. age 77 of Gilbertsville, KY died on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. He was the retired owner of Kidd Heat and Air, a Realtor and was a member of the Briensburg Masonic Lodge and a Gideon. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Director.
Born Friday, June 20, 1941, he was the son of the late Vol Anthony and Lilly Allie (Isbell) Kidd.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Alice (Riley) Kidd of Gilbertsville, KY, sons, Roy D. Kidd Jr., wife Jackie of Gilbertsville, KY, Richard Allan Kidd, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, daughters, Tammy Diane (Kidd) Roberts, husband Vince of Mayfield, KY and Teresa Kay (Kidd) Salchli, husband Stan of Frankfort, KY, brother, Frank Kidd of Gilbertsville, KY, 7 grandchildren, Jorden Roberts, Justin Roberts, wife Hayley, Emeral Carrier, Stanley Salchli, Savannah Salchli, Brittany Lee, Anthony Gremore, and 4 great-grandchildren, Camilla Roberts, Ella Lee, Brooke Brewer, Riley Brewer, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ellis Kidd, Ted Kidd, V.C. Kidd and Gene Kidd, sisters, Evelyn Hickman, Cletus "Dooder" Clark.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Charles LaChance, Rev. Calvin Wilkins, and Rev. Dr. Charles Frazier officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
