Sue Dowd Ward, 91, of Statham, GA formerly of Paducah died on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice in Athens.
Ms. Ward was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are three children, Steve Ward of Savannah, GA, David Ward of Athens, GA, Karen Simmons of Jefferson, GA; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Ralph Ward Sr.; her parents, George M. Dowd and Amy Dowd; and one son, Thomas “Tommy” Ward.
Graveside services will be at 10:30am on Monday March 30, 2015 at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with the Rev. J. Patrick Reynolds officiating.
Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
