Henrietta Sue Wilson, of Paducah, KY, passed away at her home at 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 21, 2015. She passed after fighting long and hard against lung cancer and COPD.
On October 8, 1937, Albert Edward “Pete” Huss and Beadie Elner Norman Huss, then of Symsonia, KY, welcomed their second daughter Henrietta Sue Huss into the world. In 1955, Sue graduated from Reidland High School, and two days later was married to the love of her life, Marvin Hayse Wilson. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 4th of this year. From 1966 to 1989, Sue worked first in assembly work at CTS, then as a clerk at Boyd’s in Lone Oak and later at Jimmy’s Market and Food World in Kevil. But the work she enjoyed most was supporting her husband and family by making a warm, welcoming Christian home. Aside from homemaking and cooking, she enjoyed canning, crocheting, solving word puzzles and playing cards.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Wilson, of Paducah, KY; her daughters, Vickie Davis and husband Steve, of Paducah, KY, Sonja Skibinski and husband Ray, of Paducah, KY; her sister, Jeannene Sills and husband Joe, of Paducah, KY; her grandchildren, Timothy E. Davis and wife Lindsay, of Texas, Rebbecca S. Dunn and husband Jared, of Utah, Ryan W. Skibinski and Rachael M. Skibinski, both of Paducah, KY; and many much loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Edward “Pete” Huss and Beadie Elner Norman Huss; and her son, Keith Edward Wilson.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with entombment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Bro. Dan Owen and Bro. Andy Clausen will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
