Tommy Case, age 55, of Blandville, KY passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Tommy was an avid outdoorsman who hunted deer, turkeys, ducks, quail, doves, geese, rabbits and squirrels.  He enjoyed bush hogging his fields, planting crops and gardening, but his true passion in life was crappie fishing.  Tommy was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Wickliffe #625 and was president of the Blandville Fire Department.  He started his career working for Weston Services in Atlanta, GA before later working for the Carlisle County Road Department.  He was director of the Carlisle County EMT & DES and was DOT inspector.  He was currently a survey engineering technician with the Kentucky State Transportation Department District 1.  He was a member and song leader at Blandville Baptist Church.  Tommy had many loves and passions in his life, some of which were sitting on the porch looking at well mowed lawns, martins and hummingbirds with his wife and their pets.  He loved reading and watching western movies, the Andy Griffith Show and MASH.  Tommy enjoyed getting up at the crack of dawn to enjoy his coffee and breakfast with the community early rising crew.  He loved mowing, raising sweet corn, playing Santa for many children and always had a side job he was happy to help out with.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Anna Case; his son, Scott Burnett and wife Melynda of Paducah; his parents, Jimmy and Marie Case of Wickliffe; his sister, Tina Moore and husband Tim of Cunningham; two grandsons, Landyn and Kasyn Burnett; his grandmother, Mae Polivick of Wickliffe; one nephew, Lee Moore and wife Kayla; one niece, Deedra Sullenger and husband Brandon; one grandnephew, Trevor Moore; and three grandnieces, Emma Moore, Zoee Sullenger and Zayden Sullenger.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Polivick, and his grandparents, Rufus and Rhayma Case.
