The National Club Baseball Association's 2016 DI World Series gets started this week at Brooks Stadium in Paducah. Eight teams have qualified for the event, which runs May 27- June 2.

University of Pittsburgh, University of Illinois, East Carolina University, Florida State University, Texas A&M University, Colorado State University, University of Nevada and University of Oregon will compete in this year's tournament.

“Our staff along with teams of the NCBA have all been working so hard to make this event a success,” Director of Baseball Operations Christian Smith said. “These eight teams have truly been remarkable to work with and watch play. This year is going to be an experience that I can’t wait to be a part of. We’re expecting another successful World Series and are looking forward to seeing some quality baseball played at Brooks Stadium.”
