Former Caldwell County High School golfer Emma Talley is tied for 10th place after two rounds of the NCAA Championships for women’s golf. The Alabama freshman and Princeton, KY native shot back-to-back 71s and is six shots off the lead heading into day number three.

Talley’s teammate, Stephanie Meadow, continues to hold the individual lead in the clubhouse with an 8-under par 136. She shot a 5-under 67 on Wednesday, which leads USC’s Annie Park, who also carded a 67 in a round two.

As a team, Alabama fired a 4-under par round of 284 on Wednesday and jumped from fourth to second place after two rounds. Southern Cal is currently in first place after shooting an NCAA-record 12 under par 276. The Crimson Tide trail the Trojans by 12 shots heading into Thursday’s third round.
