Despite a 9-run deficit in the fourth inning, the Paducah Chiefs almost came all the way back, eventually falling 11-9 to the Owensboro RiverDawgs on Sunday. The Chiefs scored six runs in the failed comeback. Kevin Brenning, Jacob Hartline, Peyton Sockwell, Tyler Hubbard, and Blake Johnson each picked up RBIs. 

Paducah couldn't keep up with Owensboro early in the game. The RiverDawgs scored on a sacrifice fly by Matt Jewell and a sacrifice fly by Danny Torres in the second inning. In the second inning, Owensboro  got their offense started when Jewell's sac fly scored one run.
 
The Chiefs put up three runs in the sixth inning. Paducah's offense in the inning came from a single by Sockwell and a double by Hartline.
 
Owensboro scored five runs in the third inning. The big inning for the RiverDawgs came thanks to a walk by P.J. Barry and a home run by Torres. 

Blake Graham took the win for the RiverDawgs. He went five innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out six and walking one. Ian Ellis and Trevor Salmon entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Ellis recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Owensboro.
 
Mason Vineyard took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. He surrendered seven runs on two hits over three innings, striking out four.
 
Paducah tallied one home run on the day. Kyle Antos had a dinger in the second inning. 

The Chiefs totaled 12 hits in the game. Reid Homan, Brenning, Antos, and Sockwell all managed multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Sockwell, Antos, Brenning, and Homan all had two hits to lead Paducah.
 
The RiverDawgs totaled six hits. Austin Peterson and Kobe Stephens each collected multiple hits for Owensboro RiverDawgs.
