The Muhlenberg County Stallions grabbed an early lead on its way to an 11-3 victory over Paducah Chiefs on Friday. 

The Muhlenberg County scored on a single by Eddy Hart, an error, and a groundout by Bryson Horne in the second inning.

The Stallions pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second Hart singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, an error scored two runs for Muhlenberg County Stallions, and Horne grounded out, scoring one run. They tallied four runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to doubles by Brady O’Neil and Hart and a groundout by Noah Myers.

Alan Howe earned the win for Muhlenberg County. He allowed three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking zero. Tyler Mattes threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Logan Bowen took the loss for the Paducah Chiefs. He went four innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits and striking out one. Gage Trahan started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out three and walking one.

The Stallions collected 13 hits. Hart, O’Neil, Kyle O’Brien, and Horne all had multiple hits. Hart went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Muhlenberg County in hits. The Stallions didn't commit a single error in the field. Ronnie Allen had the most chances in the field with nine.

The Paducah Chiefs collected six hits on the day. Reid Pope and Clayton Stephens each had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. John Mitchum led the Chiefs with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.
