Former Caldwell County standout Emma Talley was named a first team All-American by the Women's Golf Coaches Association on Wednesday after capturing the 2015 NCAA Individual National Championship Monday night.

Talley, a junior from Princeton, Ky., shot 3-under 285 at The Concession Club in Bradenton, FL, to edge National Player of the Year Leona Maguire (Duke) and Gabby Lopez (Arkansas) by one stroke. She is now a three time All-American after garnering second-team honors as a freshman and honorable mention accolades as a sophomore.

Talley finished her junior season with a 72.50 stroke average with seven top-10 finishes and three top-five showings. She averaged just .69 strokes per round over par and counted towards the team score in 31 of 32 rounds.
